Go to the chat calendar.
Teachers and pupils taking part can prepare by checking the on-line resources provided. They then discuss the chat topic in the classroom and decide what questions they wish to ask during the chat session.
Classes should be divided into small groups. Each group should have a leader, who types the questions to be answered by the guest. The leader should have good knowledge of the language of the chat and be able to type quickly and accurately. The other group members are advised to watch the on-line dialogue.
The chat tool used for Spring Day in Europe is technically stable, and safe for use by young people under the supervision of a teacher.
Pupils enjoy taking part in chats because they are live events and involve a guest from the European Commission or Parliament. The chat activities offer classes the opportunity to learn about major European issues directly from experts.
Participation in each chat session is restricted to a small number of schools, as there is only one guest to answer all the questions.
To take part, check the chat calendar and register for a session by sending an e-mail to Petru Dumitru: Petru.Dumitru@eun.org.
A guide to on-line chats is available on the myEUROPE Web site:
